SAVE THE DATE: Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27, 2018

Faculty from the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) at Kennesaw State University (KSU) have been engaged in projects in the Raccoon Creek Watershed over the last decade in collaboration with partners from the Paulding County GovernmentPaulding County School SystemGeorgia Department of Natural Resources and The Nature Conservancy. The collaborators would like to build on the successes they have achieved and expand the breadth and depth of research, education, and outreach projects in the watershed. The goal of the symposium is to bring scientists, resource managers, educators, and policy-makers together to review past successes and discuss possibilities for future projects.

The Raccoon Creek Symposium will be held on the Kennesaw State University (Kennesaw campus) on Friday, January 26th with field excursions to the Raccoon Creek watershed on Saturday, January 27th. Use the links to the left to explore the agenda for the Symposium, find out about the afternoon break-out sessions that will allow participants to explore opportunities for engagement in the watershed, and learn more about the field excursions. The links below will take you to articles that provide some of the history of the watershed and highlight some of the recent activity by the partners.

If you are interested in attending, please use the link to the left to register for the conference. We have a limited number of spaces available and once those have been filled, registration will be closed. We hope to see you in January!
